  • Main bolts or studs?

Looking to buy the main and rod bolts for the 93 this weekend.

Should I go bolts or studs for the mains?

    Studs- http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ARP-134-5502/
    Bolts- http://www.texas-speed.com/p-2550-ar...e-journal.aspx

Are these the rod bolts I want? - http://www.texas-speed.com/p-2553-ar...etal-rods.aspx

Sorry I just don't want to go and spend $100 on bolts and have them be the wrong ones

Suggestions on other places I should purchase them from?

    Thanks!!!

if you go main studs you will have to have the main line hone'd to insure correct fit, if not it could spin a bearing or burn up a crank journal

Like he said. Bolts will suffice unless you're going all out in a quest for hp. For most builds, reusing the factory bolts will be fine.
When in doubt, Whip it out !

Ok I ended up buying both ARP bolts.

I heard it's a big no no to reuse the stock bolts on account of them stretching

good call, you are correct on the stock bolts stretch which is why guys re-use the stock rods just get the better bolts.. and usually never have problems
