Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

check them all because if had something like this happen on a nother car and i replaced like $500 worth of parts and like a mounth later i was sick of it so i started taring into it agin and it was a stupid #6 wire that was not attached 100 % just a little of seperation and it did a lot of harm so i just now from experience double and triple check everything.. and i now its time counsumming but ya gotta do it or pay big buck to have a shop go through it..
if your MAF fixed it, then happened again, i would be very suspect of it... do you have a K & N or other oilled type filter? if so, remove it and the MAF, clean the MAF with electrical parts cleaner ONLY, do not touch it. replace the filter with a paper filter... change out plugs and wires... check the cat... if it's an auto make sure there isn't a prob with the trans that's making your head go crazy...
i cleaned out the maf with maf cleaner again, however i did not spray the cleaner directly on the sensor, just in the maf. didnt fix the problem. i was also puzzled as to why it fixed itself then went back to crap again so i thought it was the maf too but i guess not.

in the maf, not on the sensor? the problem occurs when oil jumps the gap between the wires(sits on top of the resistors and changes the resistance). You need to be sure that the wires are free of oil, the sides don't matter much.
