  • Looking for local place to buy headers.

Hey guys, well I've got my stock manifolds out and stock y removed, what a job!! Passenger side brought out the evil in me!!

Anyhow, I am going to have money to purchase some headers this Friday, and was wondering if there are even any local shops that sell them? Looking at cheaper side (i.e. Pacesetter) headers, but would be interested in any place that sell that kind of stuff. Really excited to see what my car sounds like with headers, ORY, and 3" flowmaster cat-back!

Lastly, I don't know if anyone has time or is even interested, but I am open to an extra set of hands to help...especially if you've done this job before!!

    Thanks in advance guys!!

Where at are you in Clinton Twp? I live at 15 and Little Mack. I currently have Pacesetter LT Race headers 3in true dual with cutouts to Flowmaster 40s. Putting the gaskets on, the Pacesetter ones were a *****. Plus my passenger one is leaking so I ordered some Felpro 1406s which is a much better design. The gasket hooks on the outside two bolts instead of trying to line the bolts up to go through the gasket.

I'm just north of 14 mile and one street from Beaconsfield. Sounds like you're pretty close...south of 15? Like by Baker?? or north by the high school? Yeah I had already planned on the Fel-Pro gaskets, if you need help with yours I'd be willing to lend a hand. I'll PM you my number...

Gaspo - thanks for the advise, not worried about the plugs replacing them while mani's are off, didn't see the coolant sensor...might need to look harder...

Check Detroit Performance on Kelly road between 14 mile and M-97. They probably won't have them in stock, but can get them quickly.

Here is where I got mine. I love Speed Engineering, always try to shop at them. QTP at Summit was 324 dollars, at Speed is it 305. Plus I got my FAST Dual Wideband from there for like almost 100 dollars cheaper than anywhere else.

That is a very nice price! However I am looking at the amazon ones, I can get them shipped free via a friend of mine, so the total would be $235.86

Okay so I got my headers today (ordered them yesterday with one day shipping) total came to $195 for the headers! Guess I got pretty lucky cause the price jumped right back up after I ordered. Anyhow, just thought I'd let you all know just how lucky I got and wish me luck on this crazy instal job!

Okay guys header/ ORY is all installed! Car pulls real nicely, very happy with the results. Work was a pain in the rear but thankfully a neighbor of mine helped me out.
