  • Got rid of a lot of knock retard for under $100

After getting my datalogging setup, I noticed I was getting a ton of KR, between 8-10. Put in some 100 unleaded, same thing, so I figured it must be false knock.

    Since
    I installed an LT4 knock module $75
Upgraded to 3" lapjoint band clamps (had u bolts, was leaking adding to the false knock. $22 for 3.

Now the most KR I got was about 1.4

It feels to be a noticeable difference, plus it's nice not having the annoying ticking of the exhuast.

It's too bad no one makes an aftermarket lt4 km. Such a low tech piece for $75 dollars.

I dont know if you guys know this but over tightning a ks can lead to the same problem. the more torque you add to it when you install it. gives it a denser bond to the block.
