  • Is this comon on lt1's?

So driving my bird the other day, the low coolant light clicks on, me being the guy that I am immediately pull over and check my reservoir. Its fine, so i let the car cool down and check my radiator, also full to the top. I'm all confused and talk to a few guys on woodward who say it could be the sensor on the backside of the radiator toward the engine that measures the reservoir. The car isnt running hot at all and i have pressure in my hoses so I'm thinkin thats gotta be it. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

Had it happen a couple years ago. Replaced the sensor in the radiator, haven't had that "dummy-light" come on since.

Ever since I flushed my system I have the light come on if I start my car on an incline.... Yet the system is filled to capacity

they are finicky sensors. you can clean them sometimes to fix the problem, but eventually it will just need to be replaced. Mine is on 24/7, and replacing it has been on my "to-do" list for well over a year now.

Back when the 93 was up and running, mine was on all the time, needed to replace it but ended up unplugging it

unplugging it will make the light go off? I thought about it but figured it'd make it stay on or throw a code or something...

Nope, it just makes it inop. I always check my fluids, so I wasn't ever worried.
Edit, yes light will go off. No it won't throw a code.
