383 stroker?

I spun a rod bearing in my ls1 and Im looking for a good forged 383 stoker kit, (I run nitrous)

Sell your LS1 and buy an LQ4 or LS2 block. Your not going to gain much going to a 383. There is a reason you don't see them often.

Not true. A well built one is a good option. Its what I run and have great results even though it only has 4K miles on it currently.

concept is correct. 383 dont make the power they should. a 402, 408 will run better. The small bore shrouds the valves. The added cubes like bigger valves but the small bore just shrouds them worse

There are ways around valve shroud talk to a good machinest . But when I'm ready to start my engine built on my other car I will be using a iron 6.0 block and I'm debating on to stroke it or not tho its just such a good block to start with.

How much I mite take a few if the price is rite my cusin is looking for one As well he works at crank shaft here in town and gets deals on lunati cola and oliver I belive I will have to double check on them brands he already gave me a lunati pro series crank for my big block its a $1800.00. Crank I think he can get them for a third of the cost he just sold a stroker crank to a buddy for his LS3.
