  • LS7 Lifter Preload?

How much preload are you running on your LS7 lifters? My internet search resulted in answers ranging from .030" to .120" with .050"-.060" being the most common.

The way I have adjusted preload is you lightly turn lifter rod untill you feel very slight drag. then tighten nut another half turn. You really don't have a clearance like solid lifters. look in sticky note I'm sure someone has posted a proceedure to adj.

LS Rockers are not adjustable. You have to get the exact pushrod size. LS7 lifters are just a TINY bit different than ls1 ones, so you have to accommodate that difference.
