  • Edelbrock victor jr vs fast intake

For my ls1 im debating between an edelbock victor jr or one of the fast intakes, I only have some slight mods done so far. It has an extreme cam, longtube headers, and a 100 to 150 shot of nitrous. Which intake would perform better?

Will a victor jr. fit under a stock hood?

    Used to own a Firebird.

Fast hands down, i doubt your car even needs that. I would not run a Vic jr on a n/a street car.

Vic JR is for a race car.

Need extensive trimming to the cowl for any decent elbow/carb style TB to fit it. Plus you would be giving up a lot of torque for minimal horsepower gains.

FAST FTW. Even then an LS6 intake works very well in most applications.

No need to get a fast unless you want to up the cubes, then yea it will benefit more over a LS6, but the LS6 will work great. At the fraction of a cost for a Fast.

But if you can find a hell of a deal one a fast then go for it!
