My oil pressure gauge is showing really low pressure, almost none at idle and wouldent go past 20 at idle. The car runs fine and everthing but i need to know where you attach a mechanical gauge so i can verify it's just the oil sending unit.

LT1's just have notoriously low oil pressure. Not a bad idea to get a mechanical gauge on there, but usually it's nothing to worry about.

there's somthing wrong though because even when i reved it to 4k RPM's i still was under 20 PSI, i figure it must be the sending unit (hopefully) because i just can't see an well maintained car having oil pump failure at 85k milesOriginally posted by Insomnya3AMLT1's just have notoriously low oil pressure.
