edit: knock sensor is on the passenger side of the engine block, it also acts as the block coolant drain when unscrewedLast edited by ThreeHonks; February 15th, 2011, 08:36 PM.

The knock sensor is what screws into the passenger side of the block by the motor mount. The knock module is what goes into the PCM and tells the PCM how to handle the signals the knock sensor is giving. IE an LT4 knock module is less sensitive than the LT1 knock module, but the sensor (as far as I know) is the same.- Brian Meissen
