  • Dash Carpet

I'm guessing that no one really likes them but does anyone have carpet on their dash?

Unfortunately my car lives outside and the sun kills my dash pad. Thinking about just getting the carpet insert.

    Pics?

I would be under the impression that a dash pad would hurt the dash more? wouldn't it heat up a lot in the summer and potentially crack it worse? It would probably prevent fading though. There was a company that makes plastic covers that go right over cracked/faded dash pads, it looks just like the factory dash pad only a little higher (because it sits on top).

That might be a good option Derek. Looks a hell of a lot better than carpet on the dash.

Pretty sure Joel does. I usually use a sunshade when I park mine.

Or custom build an aluminum dash. . . Haven't seen an F-Body with an aluminum dash that I didn't like. . .
