Can I Remove the AIR and EGR without codes?

So I figured since I have the LT1 out I should do all the little stuff that I can.
Can anyone tell me what I need to do to remove them and if I will get DTC's from doing it

itll throw codes. forgot which ones exactly. but a tuner can go in and tune them out if you have the car tuned.

OBDI or OBDII

Info that I have found says that OBDI doesnt mind them being blocked off as much as OBDII does.

Id get it tuned regardless.

OBD1 cares just as much - even my 94 3.4L v6 threw a code when I pulled the EGR out.

yeah, i believe OBDI and OBDII both throw codes up if u remove EGR and AIR system... but like they say above, get it tuned, and they can delete the code...

if its a 95-style setup with OBDI and a OBDII connector, i can delete the codes for you

...after i reinstall winderz on my laptop and get everything running again...

I figured removing it would be a good idea while it is out.

i have a 95 with the 3.4 and removed my A.I.R. for my headers as long as the pump an all else to do with it and capped off my EGR on the headers and intake and have had no trouble with it

lol thats odd. mine throws codes for it. doesnt take but one key cycle after i clear them either and they are back.

hmm.... idk lol. i know its not burnt out or anything cuz when i turn the key on it lights up but goes off after i start it

I have my EGR removed and my AIR disconnected and I throw no codes on a 95.

why do you want to get rid of the air and egr. the egr only works on on low rpms and the air pump only works when the car is first started until it warms up the cats. if you are going to change your cam to a bigger lift the egr is not needed any more, if you don't have cats i see the reason not having the air pump. if you look at a lt4 motor they don't have egrs because of the higher lift cam than the lt1.but once you mess with just about anything with the engine you almost have to have the ecm tuned.

Most people like removing EGR and AIR just to clean up the engine bay. When I did my LT1 swap, I took all that junk off.
