  • 1 or 2 cutouts?

I won 2 QTP exhaust cutouts on ebay a couple weeks ago. I had planned to keep one and sell the other and end up only having to pay ~$30 for a stainless exhaust cutout. They did not come with the electronics they are just the exhuast pipe. While they have been sitting here i am starting to think it would be nice to run 2. I just dont think i would have any gain over using 1 with my setup. Any ideas?

Intake/Cam/Bolt-ons/Stall Car. Heads may be in the future but i am not 100% sure yet.

    exhaust setup:
    Ebay stainless long tubes
    LPP stainless Y-pipe
    QTP stainless cutout(s)
    Magnaflow stainless catback

I run 2 just for the hell of it... It did show a 10 HP gain on the dyno, true or not, who knows for sure..

        Single in the I-pipe.

        Doesnt sound to bad...

Plus you cant beat the clearance of 1 over 2. Unless you have the oval ones like Larry you better life your 4th gen if you want to keep your exhaust off the pavement.

its definitely much more a matter of sound than performance.

But that said: I gained some very noticeable power switching to 3" true duals (no cutouts) over a single 3" with an open cutout. I had been told the duals wouldnt help my setup, but definitely wasnt the case.
