  • Engine Pulsing when hot?

Hello every one. Here is my problem when driving I get a pulse(about 100-250 rpm) from the motor once it is warm up and I try to increase my speed by just alittle. like if I'm going 40 and want to speed up just alittle to 45. Now it does not always do this it seems to be just on day's when it is hot and humid out. Any ideas what may cause this?

    Thanks Blake

Maybe something with your cooling system. You mentioned it only happens on hotter days. Just a guess.

dirty injectors or something if it's sputtering...maybe a clogged fuel filter?

Could posably be the injectors know its not the fuel filter just changed it when I did my tune up. I had been hoping that the tune up would make it go away but aparently not. Its not sputtering just pulse the 100 to 250 Rpm's and then stop. And the harder thing is that it will not always do it so I can't lock down on what is causing it to do this.

        Here is what I changed

        New water pump
        New thermistat
        New Belt
        New Platinum Plugs
        New Fuel Filter
+ the MSD parts in my mod list in my sig. g

Are any codes showing up? That could help us narrow it down.

Also, check the MAF sensor, my buick did that for a while, and it was the MAF.

You have a scan tool ?? check the fuel trims to see if they are really negative. I have seen a number of Delco O2 sensors hang rich/lean and cuase a bunch of driveability issues like this. That and make sure the EGR valve passages and the valve are clean and free of debirs. EGR would be getting active at this cruise speed and load.
