Anyone got eBay headers?

What do you know about headers from eBay. Stainless ones.

I have seen some success on LS1tech and LTXtech, what have you seen, herd ,etc?

i have heard they are really hit or miss on fitment. like 50/50 either great of terrible.

Hit or miss buddy. Some fit good, most do not. And have to get a ORY or Y, w/e you choose wisely to fit good enough, or some custom work will have to be done which we always know = more doh

I chanced it and the SS LT I got off of ebay worked great. The only fitment issue I had was a slight interference with the steering shaft. With a ball peen hammer and then a 3/4" piece of pipe I put a dimple about 1/8" deep and problem solved.

I think Deek has ebay headers.. He had to modify them to keep them from slapping the floorboards.. IIRC... But overall I think he liked them..

Got mine for $190 shipped. Touch the k-member on both sides but I think that's because I need new motor mounts. Overall they're fine.

bingo. price. If i can save a few hundred dollars, I will gladly deal with some fitting issues. What seller did you use?


I would like to get LLP or a good name brand, but I dont know if they can be had for under 300 bucks.

I will have the transmission out over christmas break, so its the perfect time to do this.

From what ive heard they are made from a thin guage stainless and throw a lot of heat and warp over time. I havent decided if I will mess with them if I ever decide to switch from my shorties, lol. Eric L

I paid around 190 for mine too, mine have been great. The quality was perfect, they tuck up really high (could probably hang a little lower). As with any header you should probably notch the kmember or make clearance if you are within a quarter of an inch. I was having trouble with it slapping the floorboard right where it connects to the Y, but once I got my poly engine mounts mine have been perfectly fine. I actually found a stainless Y-Pipe on ebay for like 120 bucks that fit just fit. I laugh at people that pay 1000 for very similar headers.. I'm not sure of the difference between lt1 and ls1 headers though? All in all, I think I would get ebay ones again if I was in the same scenario.
