OK guys, so what's a mild mileage (under 60k) pull out LS1 with wiring / PCM gonna cost me? What about with a T56?

where you planning on getting one from? I would say at lease 2000-2500. A t-56 is going to cost you a bit more then an automatic. But there is a difference in front accesories between corvettes and TA&Camaros, but fitting it in your car I don't think would be a problem. 3rd gens got alot of room right?

on ls1tech last friday i saw...
a running LS1 with wire harness and pcm for 3850
a complete t56 with pedal assb. etc for 1400
Hope that helps...
We should talk about just buying an ls1 z or a wrecked z... and stripping it... I need quite a few parts... if you're interested in looking with me, contact me...

ya the 406 will be cheeper for sure... do you think you could get it to run on the TPI setup... i mean you dont need the higher rpm really for a 406 unless its built up for it it makes most its power down low where GOD created Torque... but you would need to push some more fuel for sure and get a tune on it... im pretty sure even a 406 crate motor would cost you less than an LS1 aslong as your not looking on going to crazyOriginally posted by Frank The TankTook the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. But it's not exactly street legal, so keep it on the down low.
