Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
It would be cool with a faux badge that says WSS. Sounds like the guy wanted a WS6 and bought a Camaro instead. He probably would have been money ahead to buy a LS1 Trans Am. Unless theres an emotional attachment, in this economy, your usually better off buying a V8/LT1/LS1 car, rather than doing the swap. The market is in the BASEMENT right now. Eric L

on the contrary i think pricing on 4th gens has bottomed out. Now = time to buy.
Nope...not yet...you've got another 8-10 years to go...at least...for the special ones...for most of them, 15 years or more...
When they become antiques is when the bell curve starts to go up...the 4th gens are just starting to flatten out...they haven't reached bottom yet.
For muscle cars, the bell curve starts going up at 30 years...for "basic transportation" cars and imports the bell curve is more like 40 years before it starts up...
You want to buy a car that is gonna be really hot soon?
I WANT NOISE! SPEED! AN ENGINE THAT SHAKES MY INTERNAL ORGANS LIKE THEY GOT PARKINSON'S! I DONT WANT AN ENGINE THAT IS PARTIALLY POWERED BY MY LAPTOP BATTERY!

I think it is because I take it in and out all the time, the rubber has just stretched out, especially at the bottom where it is really thin. It annoys me more then anything.

Find an early year (89-90) Corvette ZR1...
I really dont think so. I am seeing more and more people sitting on their money trying to find the right fourth gen lately... and that means the market isnt meeting demand. Prices will stay where they are for a while but economics dictates this eventually means prices will increase on the nicer fourth gens.

I don't disagree with you...it's just not going to happen anytime soon...and as a counterpoint, if people are sitting on their money right now, that's more of an indication that they're waiting for the right car for the right money...i.e. people are looking to get them on the cheap...there's lots of low mileage nice cars out there...people just think they should be cheaper...and then you better have cash, because no bank is going to loan you $25,000 for a nine-year old 2002 WS6 or SS with 3000 miles on it...something that will only drive values down further...
I'm tellin' ya...the only cars that can buck this trend are the super-exotics...the Bugattis, the McClarens, the top end Ferraris...
But every other car does it.
Another car that has seen a big jump recently is the late-80s Lamborghini Countachs...a low mileage, well maintained example of those is over $120K now...
