Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Apparently buying torque arms that fit is also for pansies! Honestly after doing this im not sure how anyone goes lower than i did without major problems. Hopefully this is good for another inch of travel or so before the "self-clearancing" feature kicks in
I also i think i have the exhaust clearance issue resolved... Need to bolt it up and see. I am going to be tucking the mufflers up higher than before
Lastly, an updated picture of free suspension components. (i have a front sway bar in the attic also). how do i still have these tubular a-arms??????
Did you have to disconnect the front sway bar to get the front shocks out?
I was having a fun time trying to get to the bottom of the link through the arm, I bought new links for the front and will probably just cut the old ones in half.

Put it this way, if you have a money tree a LT1 is a wood chipper!
Not sure if i had to or not but i did and it at least made it a lot easier. Many times the original links are going to shear off instead of disconnect, but the next time will be easier at least.
Edit: if youre having trouble getting links through the arm disconnect it at the chasis first so you can pivot the whole thing around to get a better angle on the bolt/nut.
Probably still have those control arms because they're non-adjustable. Although for free, anyone with stockers SHOULD get those. If I was paying money, though, I'd pay to get the adjustables.
If these things don't go soon, Joel, I'll gladly take a run up Romeo Plank and get them from you. I know Spencer had dibs, and then Rolo. I guess put me in line after him
