Huh, that's interesting. Just looked and see that a few places are selling 25mm bars now. I'm sure it's all personal preference, I'm just thinking of discussions from the forums many many years ago, so probably outdated info.

Tough to say what works best with different spring rates.Originally posted by birdie2000 View PostHuh, that's interesting. Just looked and see that a few places are selling 25mm bars now. High spring rate plus big sway bar in the back sounds like it would really depend on the rear tires to hook well. Softer spring plus bigger sway bar is what I'd start with...but that's just my thinking

Man you guys have me second guessing my choice now
i figured 3mm was a marginal upgrade and the way it is right now the front bar is doing all the work... Id be beyond my limit of lateral traction before the stock rear sway bar would start doing anything. I guess there is no way to know without testing either way. If it ends up being better at drifting than cornering i wont necessarily be disappointed
Another variable im introducing is rear LCAs that freely articulate the way they are supposed to. Last season i had tubulars that were almost surely binding around corners.Last edited by JoeliusZ28; March 4th, 2013, 06:41 AM.-Joel

Well started re-fitting the exhaust today. Didnt fit as bad as I thought, I fixed the majority of the problem by angling the drivers muffler further to the outside of the car by a couple inches. To fix it entirely, it looks like Im going to either have to cut a section out of the drivers muffler or get the entire exhaust redone. I'll probably just cut the muffler. I couldnt pivot the muffler further ahead than the cut i made because it was already close to the floor board there.

It's hard to tell from the pics, but would using the second set of bolt holes on the torque arm give you the clearance you need without cutting the muffler?

You know that might be worth another look, thanks for pointing that out! As i recall id have to do some pretty heavy cutting to make that work, but id rather cut that than the muffler. I'll check into it.Originally posted by birdie2000 View PostIt's hard to tell from the pics, but would using the second set of bolt holes on the torque arm give you the clearance you need without cutting the muffler?-Joel

Hmmmm.... I hadn't seen that write up before. Better copy it all down now before LT1Engines.com gets sold.
I might buy a second acc bracket just to customize it like that. and then take it to Darren to get powdercoated.
