Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
I finally have my website back and running. I also revised this quite a bit so there are some more pictures and details from the last time you may have seen it. Also thank you to Chris because I borrowed some of his pictures!
Thanks Joel! Definitely ran into a roadblock with mine as I was planning on using the radiator cover I currently have - I didn't realize the radiator has to lean back further than stock.

Just give it to me and u can buy a ls1 rad support
No sir - I don't want the radiator to lean back further - that's counter-intuitive to what I wanted to accomplish with making the engine bay look bigger.
Guess that doesn't make as much sense as I thought when I typed it - sorry was talking to Angie while typing. I want to make the engine bay look more open and I wanted there to be open space between the engine and the radiator so you would be able to see the pulleys I bought. Ah well, don't mean to make the thread about me. Big props to Joel for posting the writeup and giving us all so much information to be inspired!

You are only leaning it back as far as the relocated holes in the core support....which is about an inch.
Alternatively if you dont have AC (i cant remember) you could run a tubular intake to a filter mounted in front of the radiator like this:

Also in case there are any doubters, this setup does filter the air properly on my car. I have cleaned the filter twice, there was plenty of evidence that it was doing its job. But no, its probably not going to pass a warranty inspection
Nice work. I would really like to do this to my car. I HATE the intake I have right now. (but they dont make ls1 intakes for lt1 cars lol) It would look sweet with your set up though.
