  • Dumping Fuel out the filler Neck

So I got the Z out today and can tell fuel is dumping out the filler neck. Last year we put in the racetronix fuel pump. How do you tell which EVAP part is bad? I blew out the evap line to the intake it was clean. I blew out the solenoid valve it was clean. I flipped the EVAP canister over nothing came out. Or is the pressure control valve is bad back inside the filler door? How to you test the parts? So its gota be one of the 3 Which is it?

might be the filler neck itself? I had one rot out on my truck.

You sure the gas cap is good? I can't remember which is which but one of the gas caps - vented or unvented - causes fuel smell at the gas door.

Its tight. I mean you can literally see it came out of the filler neck. Its not built up any pressure like it should. Usually when you drive around and you open it hisses a little, it doesnt even do that. You can tell its dumped out on the body of the car.

If it's not hissing then the vent/seal might be bad on the gas cap. See if you can go to the local auto store and buy a gas cap and return it if it doesn't fix the problem. I had the exact same problem with gas coming out onto the quarter panel after driving around and replacing the gas cap fixed it.

Thanks Brian, I replaced the cap and it solved the issue. No more fumes or dumping of fuel, Builds nice pressure now. Evap works as it should. Any good Car shows comin up? We need to line up a bunch of F bodies.
