Haven't had to do it in a few years and never on a car with a stock motor. Don't you have to drill through the door to drill out factory rivets? Then the new motor comes with bolts? Any one have the picture of where to drill the holes? Specifically the passenger door.

Yep, drill some holes to drill the rivets out.. Than either bolts or rivets when installing new motor.. I did rivets, seemed easier...Last edited by OIF1VET; August 7th, 2010, 05:44 PM.sigpic

I just did this a few weekends ago and it was cake. The only problem I ran in to was that the polarity on the motor was reversed so I had to go exchange it.
I used this guide to find where to drill. http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor.html If you don't get it in the exact spot, you are just drilling through fiberglass so it is easy to move the bit around and make the hole bigger.
I just used the bolts that were supplied with the motor. It was easier for me to get one of the bottom bolts in to help line up the holes before trying the top one.sigpic

Thanks for the help! Now you have me worried though. I bought this motor 3 years ago when we bought the camaro. About 2 weeks later I thought the window motor went out but some bolt fell out and wouldn't allow the window to go up or down. That was the drivers side. However, I looked on rockauto.com because I was going to order one for the pass. side but they had listed "Right hand side" and "left hand side" for the all 3 of the listed motors. I was under the impression they are the same.Originally posted by Schuby87 View PostI just did this a few weekends ago and it was cake.
