  • Boy Howdy!

Well, my Camaro (1999 z-28 convertible) got a set of 3.73 gears to replace the 2.74 gears it was born with. Got it done at DTS in Warren. Also got a new Tru-Trac posi unit. Before leaving DTS, I got out the new FAST reprogrammer and cranked in the High Perf 93 octane tune, the firmer shift points, and the speedo correction. What a difference. And I can't even really beat on it for another 25 miles. The shift kit and converter is going in after I get home from vacation. Then the frame connectors, lower control arms and panhard rod. I want to get this to run mid 12's without touching the motor. I think its possible. The gears only kicked up the revs at 70mph up to 2400. Very tolerable.

Very cool! 12's should be easily obtainable. My car is 12's and its pretty much untouched.

Just realized that I posted this in the wrong forum, should be in the gen 4 spot. Oh well, guess there's a learning curve involved. Used to be a Mopar guy.
