nice day at the track(pics)

well woke up this morning feeling great, had about 10 of my friends go with me, including some Fox bodys(a 347 stroker,350 and 5.0 with a supercharger running 10 psi) Fbodys 2 ls1s one with cam and other with bolt ons. 2 66 chevells(one my dads) other has a 502. 05 Gt with a roush charger. and i think thats it.. well i had a blast, first run i was against one of the ls cars, i went to launch and about stalled the car.. lol im not used to hooking my car.. those mt et streets are wicked.. well lets just say too wicked, after about 8 runs i figured it was time to spray but my car decided that i didn't want spray at the moment.. well blew out the whole rear end(yeah i know its a 10 bolt) and possibly messed my tranny up, so needless to say i had a good time but it might have cost me alot of money lol.. here are some pics in the chevelle! pulled a 12.0 with a .519 light! and that was just putting it in drive lol..LS DONE! now for the bad stuff. now i think its time to build this rear end all in all it was really fun but just stinks i broke

Wow, sorry to see you broke, but those are some fantastic carnage pics! Hang that driveshaft on your wall like it's a trophy. Did you by chance have a driveshaft loop or did that thing bang around in your trans tunnel?

thanks lol, but i plan on hanging it up right next to my dads lol and no i didnt have a ds loop but i broke right at the launch so it didnt beat anything up.

yeah i was hoping thats all i broke was the driveshaft.. but not so lucky.. and it will be up there soon!

yeah I guess this will make me start working on my 8.8 really soon, I suprisinly didn't break on the 6 4k launches before that, just didn't like the spray.

I think you will be ok with street tires and no nitrous.. Didn't you have a spare rear end too?

wow, sorry to hear about the break down, Next time you see the plum bird it will have y pipe on. Plan is to do it tomorrow. Keep posting on the progress.
