"Forgot" to set two DTC's to no error reported so Liz's trans was going into limp mode when it realized the converter was too big.

nothing was forgotten, he knew exactly what i was talking about when i mentioned the codes. not saying that the entire tune is shit, but really? its beyond obnoxious when you pay someone to tune your car and two little codes are throwing off the whole thing because a 3800 stall isnt deemed high enough to simply delete those codes to begin with? again, wtf? with this being a known issue with stalled 4l60es among tuners, there really is absolutely no reason to not delete them from the start. because really.. ..why do i even need a code for the shift solenoid... ..theres only one thing the trans can do if its not working... ..im not saying that the tuner needs to be crucified, but this 'lapse in judgement' has been costly for me in both time and money. all i can do at this point is hope that these issues didnt mess anything else up

congratz on the progress so far Liz, good luck getting clarity and a sense of justice however you think it needs to come. I agree with you though, cannot see why someone who KNOWS whats happening hasn't been on top of it from the beginning, it was a tuning issue

uncool! I might be able to make it out to ww or your house this weekend to try and figure it out. Actually, since I have a copy of your tune I'll look at it after class today and see what I can make of it.

Anybody got an idea of what might've happened? I unchecked the two boxes for those two dtc's in hpt (only option to delete them) Said "no MIL reported" or something like that. Maybe one of the other shift solenoid circuits started acting up? We might need to delete all of those dtc's Liz. Did your CEL come on again?

Don't hit your performance button-the shift points there are all set to 256mph...and under torque management all of the torque reduction is set to 0.

I don't think LS cars have performance buttons.

I know, I saved a copy of the tune I read off of your car and the cal. that I wrote to your car just in case something went wrong. Always nice to have it backed up. Anyway, I think it might be another one of the codes reporting but just no MIL yet, or some other setting that's off. I'm not sure if your car has a performance button or not but there is a section in hpt for it.

well, one of those parameters is correct.

I suppose all torque reduction being set to 0 is right for a built trans, and I'm pretty sure that Liz's is. Need to find out if LS1 cars actually have a performance button...and if they do not should the tables for shifting with the performance button on be the same as the regular tables?
