someone please help me fix my LT1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so, it turns out that the fuel pressure and everything else is fine. my mechanic checked it out. you guys got any other suggestions? lol

did you check the fuel filter as well? If the filter is plugged, pressure can still be good at low RPM but still restrict the flow.

uhhhhhhh, i have no idea what the fuel pressure was. my guy just said that he checked it already and seeing as he is an expert on LT/LS motors, im gonna take his word for it. lol. i will ask him to check out the filter though.

If I had a dollar for every time I've heard a mechanic claim he's an expert on something, I'd be rich. I just don't trust someone else to diagnose the car. If he's such an expert on LT/LS motors, why hasn't he figured out what the problem is yet?

Honestly - probably the only way to truly diagnose what is going on is to datalog it while you're driving it and it's acting up to see what is going on. I really still think it's a fuel problem and don't believe the mechanic one bit.

X2 - if he is the expert why are we diagnosing it? Fuel pressure should be 40psi.

lol, he's not some random mechanic. my family has been going to him for 20+ years and he hasn't ripped us off once. he truly knows what he's doing, no joke. he hasn't figured out what is wrong with mine yet because its by no means stock. some redneck a couple owners backed ****ed it all up. we're just trying to get it back to stock at this point.
