well since the ls6 intake was a bust....im lookin for something else. which would be better getting some roller rockers or a granatelli mass airflow sensor? I thought about getting underdrive pulleys but it wouldnt do me any good under powering the ps alt and water pump. I still need to pull the front end apart to attempt to find a # on the cam but im not ready for that yet. Few more weeks ill be breaking into that. But what else could I get for around $500 to help out a decent amount.

Well, I will tell you I put Yella terra Roller rockers on(1.7 non adjustable) about 3 years ago and I could feel the difference over stock... I'd do it again in a heartbeat, money well spent for me.sigpic

The throttle response was much better, especially down low... All I know is the numbers are the ratio of the rocker.. I would even pretend I know what the diff is.. I just knew for my car I needed 1.7... Adjustable rockers(if I were to guess) probably aren't needed for cars like ours.. But so far everyone has said aftermarket rollers aren't needed period, soooo ???? I just know my car improved....Originally posted by twoolley08 View Posthow could you feel like it? like did it improve the responce? does it let the push rods move better? looks nice! I did some reading and found that the yella terra 6645 is a good rocker for my motor. they look nice to and considering i want to go with a bigger cam depending on whats i already have....and money....these would probley be a good thing to go along with it.
what all gasket do i need to replace when tearing down the front to get to the cam? and what should I change or swap out while im in there for maintance?

Never did a cam swap.. My cam was in the car when I bought it.. Depending on mileage, Cam bearings, Timing chain cover gaskets(timing chain), lifters, hardened pushrods, water pump gaskets. Should be able to reuse intake and valve cover seals(depending)...Originally posted by twoolley08 View Postlooks nice! You won't be needing cam bearings or intake seals. Your best bet is to look up the gaskets you need on ls1howto.com but off the top of my head water pump gaskets and front timing cover for sure.Doing less with more
