Slow Trap Speed?

Im fairly curtain my issues with the clutch where just the gm hydraulics. My clutch fluid was dirty when I arrived at the track it gave me trouble the first couple pass's then once I swapped out the fluid enough times that it cleared up it stay clear and didn't give me any problems after that. I suppose it could have been slipping in fourth but it really didn't seem like it and in 5th or 6th gear on the freeway it shows no signs of slipping either.01 NBM Base SS build #514 M6 Pat G/EPS 230/234 111+4 Cam, LS2 Heads, Tick Master,Extreme Chassis 8.8 with 4.30's, BMR LCA And Torque Arm, Edelbrock PHB, FIPK intake, Ported TB. if you do the conversion calculator on your 1/8 mile time your quarter would work out at 13.73, so your launch was killing you, but you were definately picking up alot of speed in the last half, I think if you got your 60' time into the 1.8-1.9 i bet you'd trap around 115-116Originally posted by mtuggle86 View PostI went to the track for the first time ever on Sunday. I ran on worn out Sumitomo 315/35/17 HTRs
It was around 89 degrees. I was having to bog the car off the line to keep from spinning.
My run was a 13.32 et at 110MPH Trap with a 2.307 60 FT, 8.801 1/8th ET. I know my driving sucked and the weather wasn't the best but I was expecting a higher trap speed from my car given the mods I have. What should a full weight 6 speed car with my mods trap?

Like the others stated - 60ft is killing you. Your mph won't come around until you get it to hook.
I wouldn't waste my time with the drill mod - just get a Tick master and be done with it.2000 Formula

I just ordered a set of Nitto Drag Radials for the car to help out my 60ft time so im gonna try and stick with the stock ls6 master and just keep cycling the fluid out using the ranger method until it completely clears up. My last few passes at the track my clutch didn't really act up at all so Im hoping it was just the dirty fluid causing the problems.Originally posted by Nocooler View PostLike the others stated - 60ft is killing you. Don't expect the nitto's to help a lot......you really need a bias tire on a M6 car. They are better than street tires - you might get some 1.9's out of them.Originally posted by mtuggle86 View PostI just ordered a set of Nitto Drag Radials for the car to help out my 60ft time so im gonna try and stick with the stock ls6 master and just keep cycling the fluid out using the ranger method until it completely clears up. Good luck with the master - I went down that road, messed with the stock shit for a whole summer. I haven't touched it since I put the tick master in it.2000 Formula

My bolt on car goes almost 115mph - with the 9" 4.11 and bias tiresOriginally posted by mtuggle86 View Postwell after talking to Steve My car should only be at around 390rwhp so 110 isn't too bad after all
with the 10 bolt 3.42's and nittos it'd run 113mph
My car might put down 330rwhp and is full weight
Get some tires and you clutch issues solved and you'll pick up MPH2000 Formula
