  • 02 bird v6 idling issue

At idle my oil temp gauge has a bounce to it and also if you go back to the exhaust its not a steady pressure but it increases and decreases. Any ideas on what the problem could be? Other than @ idle seems to run fine.

Remove it and look at it, and if it looks dirty then clean it. I usually use rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip but most recommend "MAF sensor cleaner" which is like $7 a can...

No, that's just the housing. You actually have to take apart the housing (4 screws) to get to the MAF, it will have three wires running between some bars. Chances are if the screen is really dirty the MAF may be too.

Is the part circled in red what I need to remove? Then what part needs to be cleaned? Thanks For your help!

also it might be a good idea to stop by an Autp parts store and have them check for Codes for an easy diagnostic
