Hey all! I'm installing the last piece to the car this week and I'm wondering if I can get the low down on how to support the axle while I replace the panhard rod. It's a non-adjustable one, so I figure it's just a swap, but is there anything I should do to stop the axle from shifting, once the old bar's out (or will it shift at all)?

Shouldn't shift, and if it does it won't be more than you'll be able to adjust with the floor jack you'll have the rear sitting on. I know its not much help but its not like its going to shift over 6" by just disconnecting it. If you think its going to then point the jack sideways instead of front and back. Thanks all, for the head's up! I had the idea, but not hving done this, I wasn't too sure. I appreciate the input and will bear all this in mind. Unfortunately, I'll be doing this during the week, rather than the weekend and I know that it's pretty strange karma doing some jobs during the week.sigpic

Well, got everything bolted in, greased and torqued. I have to say, the biggest difference I can see is that it rides MUCH quieter from the rear. That strange banging I used to hear must have been the worn out bushings of the old stock rod. The thrust of the drive seems to be more accurate also, meaning that any hesitation from the drivetrain can be clearly felt. All in all, I like what it did for me. Thanks for the advice guys!sigpic
