I was thinking about tinting the turn signals on my car. The '94 has tinted ones, so I was considering just jacking them from that car. Is it a big hassle to change out the turn signals on these cars? Should I just try to spray tint on them while they're still on the car?

It's not hard to take them out, they're only held in by a couple of screws each. I wouldn't spray them while they're still in the car, just because it takes more than just spraying them with VHT to get them to look good. I wetsanded and cleared mine, then wetsanded them again, and buffed them.

its not that hard to take them out, and its not hard to tint them. I wouldnt swap them when you have them tinted on both cars for the same work. You just take the splash gaurds off of the bottom of the front bumper and then youll have access to remove the units.

I didn't even take the splash guards all the way, I unbolted them, bent them out of the way (carefully so I didn't break them), and took the screws out from underneath the car. VERY easy to do, compared to some of the other things I've done on these cars.

thanks, guys. I think I'm going to take the tinted turn signals off the '94 before I sell it, put them on the Z, and decide from there what I want to do. I'm sure I could trade for some regular ones down the road if I decide to go back. I actually like the looks of clear turn signals on dark-colored cars a bit better, so I'll see if I can find somebody to trade with.
