  • supercharged lt1 dosent want to go into closed loop

have a procharged lt1 that over the last year seems to be slower and slower to go into closed loop, and also seems to be running richer than it used to during first start up,part throttle and idle suck now,but at wot it runs good, any suggestions.

^What he said...O2's are getting old and lazy.....like me. I take it they are not heated.

switch over to heated o2s. PM Phantom383 on here, he has switched a couple of 93s over to heated O2s. Eric L

already has heated 02's,was tuned by vecter performance a few years ago and it ran great, but recently wont idle, tryes to stall or hesitates then takes off, fine at wot.this started to happen ocassionaly but now its all the time, yes both 02's are new (tryed bosch and delco ,no change)new wire new plugs, have a lt1 scanmaster on it,no dtc codes ,any other numbers on the scanmaster that would be helpful?.yes the 02s are heated.
            thanks,mike

02's are not used at WOT so it sounds like 02's but...
              clean the maf
are you using 02 extensions? does the car come up to temp like before? t-stat stuck open?

Is it a 1993 engine? I've got Datamaster that we can data log with but I only have a cord that is for OBD1s with an OBD2 plug (1995 model year) though I can rig it up to work on an OBD1 plug with some jumper wires.

already cleaned the maf,not using a thermostat, just a resrtricter(using elec water pump),car was origanally built by automotive performance engineering in mt clemens.,it ran great for a long time and slowly got worse,so somethings going bad.i know most of the electronics are newr than 1993,lot of custom wiring, has lsi maf on it ,couple of guys at katech were also invlved in building ,going to go back to vector and get a hold the origanal builder. isnt the scanmaster lt1 kinda act like a cont monitoring device(kind like data logging)
thanks for the input so far.

                        Problem solved.

Haha kidding aside, yeah it definitely sounds like something's going bad. Steve might be able to figure it out - he works at Vector Performance now and is a sponsor on our site for his tuning business he does on the side. Datamaster will let you output the logs to a computer for review later - does scanmaster do that? I've heard scanmaster a lot but I always thought it was just a gauge for in the car, not necessarily to log to computers for later review? If Scanmaster functions like like Datamaster program I use, you should be able to watch the o2 sensors and see what kind of readings they're getting and also see if they're updating consistently fast or if they're getting slow and laggy to change values.

actually i guy that worked for ape ,it was his personal car(mike fortuna),i cant say anything bad about them, had the car for 5 years, went 10.85 on street tires, pump gas and drive the car almost everyday back and forth to work(25 mile each way) and this is the only issue ive had
