  • Head lights turn on, but wont pop up

Where do i start? Last i remember they worked perfectly all i did this winter was install a lingenfelter (sp?) CAI and swapped out a tranny mount and some brakes/rotors. Anybody have this happen on their car? I have a 94 T/A, i've heard the motors crap out on the headlights but both at the same time just doesn't seem right to me.

I'm guessing the gears in the motors are stripped. They sell a replacement kit with brass gears. Someone should be able to link you to a good seller. Good luck!

hmm only one of mine took a crap on me last summer... at first the one wouldnt go up, so i just unplugged it and plugged it back in, that worked for a while but eventually it started making the grinding noise and had to replace them both.. is yours making any type of noise?

No noise what so ever, i wonder if when installing the CAI i unplugged it and never plugged them back in(but why would they turn on still). The plug for them is located right by where the CAI goes in right?

hmm, the plugs are right next to the motors.. i would say that something just isnt plugged in, becuase mine went for a few months all messed up, just didnt stop.

Do both motors run off the same plug or would there be 2 wires unplugged?

no they both have their own plug, so i have no clue how you would have unplugged them, but they are right next to the headlight motor.. which is right next to the light.. i hope thats the issue, because they are pretty expensive and a hassle to change lol

Is there a relay that controls the headlight motors? I think that may be the problem. Seems much more likely that both would stop working because of a bad relay or fuse than because you somehow unplugged them, it's kind of hard to get to the plugs, so I doubt you managed that.

Anybody know if there's a relay for them? It's not the plugs.
