  • Where to get my LS7 heads machined...

I bought some unassembled LS7 Heads a few months ago..

Now I heard that I have to have them machined, since I dont know which cylinder they are for.

SO, my first question is: Did I hear correctly?

Second: If so, where can I get this done around here?

Its so beautiful out, and I want my car on the road.

huh? which cylinder as in valves? if the heads are new and valves are new just Lap them. if they are in good used shape Lapping would work too

if they are low mileage i dont think any machine work would be required. just lap them and make sure you have a pattern all the way around to make sure every thing is straight and seated

only true if a seat has been cut already. Some "bare heads" come without even basic machinework done to them

Its cool, thanks for your help.

I was looking online at CLOVER lapping compound, i know 120grit then 300 grit

Should I follow with 800 or 1200, is it a waste?, is it worth it? will it help? will it hurt?
