Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Yeah I am sure I will see ya, I know mark pretty well.. I saw you guys last year at the down town davison show.. But could I take a throttle cable off of any older lt1 without the asr traction control?
Not to jack, but how often did you come down to the davison show? I help out down there and dont remember seeing your car? The camaro or the jeep is usually parked on the hill next to the tent and SOS. I have a davison car cruise shirt on, should come down and chat this year!

Yes 94 up to 97 with out NW9 (traction control) will work. The official usage for GM part number is 94 thru 96. Gm has a different part number for 97 which was dicontinude a few years ago. I know for a fact that pn 12550676 will work with no problem on a 97. That is what I used. Mine came from Al Sera at around $30.
We will be at the Davison show this year also. Look for my 97 30th Anv Z28. It is going to a busy year.

What would the benefits of deleting this system be?
Cleans up the engine bay, weight reduction, access to valve cover, fewer moving parts, frees up a switch for other possible uses such as line lock and most of all you don't have to turn off traction control everytime you start the car (nothing worse than pulling up to line and trying to do a burnout and finding out that you did not turn traction control off).

hahahah so true.. my first race at the strip i was all messed up.. i sat in the staging lane for like 10 min, so then when he told me to pull up and do my burnout, i forgot to turn that stupid traction control off.. so that was horrible, and to make things worse i was about 3/4 the way down and i saw my brake light on?? i forgot to take my stupid ebrake off too! i was all sorts of nervous lol... and it showed a whopping 14.4 lmao!! but thanks for the advice and i will probably go get one from Al Sera's today or next week..
