The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. I wonder what's happened to Optima's? I read more and more how so many people are having problems with them yet guys who bought them some years back have had no issues at all. Mines's been absolutely rock solid for 5 years, this is the first winter it's been on a battery tender too.
I have no idea. My buddy has like 7-8 of the older red tops and has had no issues either.. All I know is mine were all junk....
Not sure if the problem but believe "dry cell" type battery requires different charger not suppossed to use your old "wet cell" battery charger.But also could be like everything else and nothing is made like it used to ( I always say I can remember when those 12 year olds over in china used to take pride in their work lol) not to say optimas are made there but you can get the idea.I'm getting my new battery today which will be relocated (not into rear)will post pics when done,started doing metal work and hope the 17 pound battery will work.
Optima's are built by Johnson Controls Inc. right here in the USA Along with Interstates, Motorcrafts, Powervolts ...
I work for Interstate and even the people here say that the Red Tops aren't all their made out to be.
