I'm pretty sure the posi unit in my car is messed up (one wheel spinning way faster than the other in burnout box) and I was wondering what you guys thought would be the best unit. I was looking at an Eaton posi. How are they for durability? Or what would you reccomend? Thanks

I agree, if its a 10 bolt and it sounds like it is, then just by one for a couple hundred and be done. I'd never waste money building a 10 bolt in any way.Doing less with more

Pull the cover and look. Auburn's look very distinct with there springs and what not. I don't think anything about LT1's but in the LS1 work the Auburn was only used in 98. In 99 they went the the Tortion or how ever you spell it.Originally posted by Boost Addict View PostSo is it an Auburn?

thats why I figured you wouldn't want to use it. You could buy a new posi like a detroit locker or torsen ect. but the install will negate any savings from another whole rear. I have one with 3.42s out of an 02 SS with 5K on it but I'm not gonna let it go for super cheap.Doing less with more
