  • stripped valve cover bolt

    my cuzins was tightining the back top bolt on the valve cover and over tightened now the bolt is just spinnin in the head? will this bolt make the valve cover leak? if so whats the best suggestions? plz help, thank u

    may or may not leak. i would helicoil it
    torque spec is 12nm i believe

      thanks and waht would u recomend by gettin the bolt tht is spinnin in the head out?

        try pulling up on bolt as you turn it.

          when building cars, its necessary to invest in a good torque wrench

            i ve used a small hammer to pull up on the bolt while trying to take it out seems to work pretty good, then def heli coil it i wouldnt chance it
