Alright well this spring I'm putting new brakes on my car. I was wondering what you guys thought about drilled/slotted rotors and if you had a brand preference. I see that Summit brand is about $50 each but then the SSBC ones and Power Slots are like $90ish. Any input?

Big brakes are out of the option. I just want something with a slight increase over stock, if I cant do that for a resonable price I'll just put standard rotors on it.2015 Silverado

drilled and slotted rotors don't actually stop the car any better, they are more for looks and to reduce brake fadeDoing less with more

and many of them have problems with cracking/breaking. I would not buy anything summit brand. Replace with quality parts or upgrade to LS1 brakes.-Joel

So if you are reducing brake fade, isn't the car stopping better?Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLE View Postdrilled and slotted rotors don't actually stop the car any better, they are more for looks and to reduce brake fade
I have drilled and slotted zinc washed rotors and the initial bite when applying the pedal is awesome. Yes I put them on for looks due to having a large open wheel design, but I did notice a better feel when I switched from regular rotors. Note: these are on a LS1 set-up.sigpicTurbo Charged LS1/T56

the pads have less surface area to bite on initially and the brake fade is only happening if your road racing.Doing less with more
