hmm...it just so happens i have my stock LS1 aluminum 1 piece driveshaft chill'n in my garage that im not using anymore...im pretty sure it's a direct bolt in...i believe it's 44.5 inchs from the seal to center of rear u joint

i don't know how many spline it is, but i'll check later, im pretty much positive it bolts right in though! Make me an offer and i can ship it out to ya! it's only got about 40K miles on it

Yes For Sure I Would Buy It Off You. I Live In Pittsburgh And Will Pay For Shipping How Much You Think You Want For It.

I did the same to my 94 V6, and it was really simple. I don't think Matt's LS1 shaft will be a direct bolt in, you'll probably have to change the front yoke, but other than that, it's the same length, I beleive. Is yours going bad or what? I only did mine because the carrier bearing went out on it, and you have to replace the whole driveshaft when that happens. I can walk you through it step-by-step if you want, it's a pretty simple task. I had to change the yoke, which requires 2 new U-Joints, and that took most of my time. Let me know! I just got mine from EBay for like $150 shipped.

well at worst you just have to change out the yoke and bearings and everything which you shoudl do anyways if your going to a used driveshaft... still not hard to do... the onyl reason to have a 2 piece drive shaft is if its like 10 feet long or more... they are a PITA you would be better off even with a steel one than that 2 piece

theres no reason for doing it just want to. and then I will get a rear end with disc brakes. If I could do it all at once I will. just need to find a good rear end to.

the one piece is way more reliable and stronger... no matter what engine you have its a better drive shaft... im going out the the local junkyard here tomorrow they have 2 93-97 z28's want me to check if they got the rear ends in them still? they have been sitting a while and not really picked at much besides the motor and trans im sure he will give a good deal on it

Oh yeah, see if you can get me a rear end. . . I'm looking for something that can handle the amount of power my car is going to be making after I do a little more work. . . Next up is 3400 heads and intake . . . Buddy of mine is going to try and get them for me, and I'm gonna throw in some new pistons. Hopefully this winter, if everything goes as planned. . . I can't wait. . .

the alum. driveshafts and steel driveshafts are all direct replacements for all 4th gen cars and the trans doesn't matter. I swapped my two piece out for an alum one a while ago now.
