  • Is the Pontiac Banshee IV on display anywhere?

I'll call this a 4th generation, since it inspired the 4th generation Firebird. Is it in any museum? I would really like to see it! I've been kind of obsessed with concept cars and prototypes lately.

Some of the old show cars are kept in the bowels of the Tech Center...I saw the gold GTO concept from the early 90s there once.

Others are kept at the design dome for styling reference.

But most are in the Heritage Center...now whether it's on display or not is another question...

Yeah, the only folks who would know for sure where it is would be the Heritage Center staff.

I don't remember that car - do you have a link to a pic?

                  Hey Gottork!

The GM Heritage Center is in Sterling Heights, MI. To have a tour, it's a minimum of 20 people, and $10 per person. A bunch of us on this site are going and our date is set for Friday, January 22nd, at either 1 or 2 pm. You are more than welcome to join us in coming, there are a lot of cool cars there! Let me know if you are interested, and I'll add you to the list.

Yeah, the Heritage Center is THE bar-none, ultimate GM museum in the world.

They rotate what's being displayed routinely so there's no guarantee of what will actually be out in the open, but it's the only place where you have the possibility of seeing the original Firebird I show car to a diesel Chevette and anything in between.

I've not been inside before, but definitely plan on going to the January meet-up.

I've been there before and have a gallery here:

But the pictures do no justice to how amazing it is inside.
