Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Well there should be some pictures!!!!!!! Wish I could go so we could get pictures of my brother and I racing. My dad will be taking my trans am to the track to beat on while I'm working all day. Finally my brother will see that his puny little v6 just cant handle the v8 that it sits next to all year (just kidding, with his drag radials at least he will hook!). What should he drop my tire pressure down to on my goodyear f1s? I realize its not going to get barely any traction with this cold weather.. but I think they are all at 44psi right now lol it will be like roller skates if he doesnt drop the pressure..

wow I never knew that Larry, I used to do dry burnouts all the time on these tires and never had wheelhop or anything. Guess I will just stay safe from now on and back into the water before my burnouts.

they tend to wheel hop because they are softer than almost all tires but the side wall is stiffer.
those tires actually work the best when the thread is worn off
you did it right in your ubly vids. the burnout was fine but you should back in with front street tires http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...t=MOV04633.flv
this vid looked like it hooked then spun about 10 feet out. that is probably where the front tires where dripping

When I do go in the water I always back in, the problem with Ubly is that there really isn't any room to go around the "box" and I think that is why they never have any water down to begin with. I know what you mean by the tires carrying water but I have run like that there before and never had that problem, IMO the posi going out was the culprit of all my traction issues that day.
yeah they must have to pay like $1/oz for water at ubly. I couldn't do a burnout at all the first pass. the second one wasn't much better. it was pushing the front tires
well. looks like he ran a best of 14.5 on the v6 just motor... as far as what I last heard he only got two runs in. As for my TA, it ran a 13.4, 13.2, and a 13.1 with the stock air intake setup. my new ram air setup hasnt came in yet (they say that is good for .2 in the quarter.). With my goodyear f1 street radials there was a good amount of spinning. goal of 12.7 for next year with warmer weather, stickier tires, and the new ram air setup. with me driving it that time . Definately have to invest in some 3.73s and a stall in the future as well.. He said he has a video of my 13.1 run, I'll let him post up more details or pics he has.

yea 14.5 was the best today NA, need more practice as my 60ft is horrible for having a stall. I was brake stalling it and the brakes would not hold it, was slightly rolling each time. Had tires at 22psi. Time for some new shocks in the rear as I have stockers yet and then more practice. My first time at the track in 2 years
I should be in the 13s with my setup NA
EDIT: Oh yea, and my times were also hurt by the cutout malfunctioning and so my runs were done with the cutout closed. On the dyno with the cutout open I gained 20hp and torque so with it not functioning that hurt my time as well. Gotta figure out what is going on with that too

heres the vid of the 13.1835 run at 106.64 mph. For some reason the video got choppy when sending it to the computer and the sound is weird. Spun off the line and pulled a crappy 2.138 60 ft. http://www.facebook.com/v/697259479475

No worries we all have bugs to work out after a fresh build, did you make any passes on the hose?
