Well today some crazy hit happened to my car. I was driving into a parking garage and got my ticket then struggled up the steep ass hill to make my way in. Well when I was driving around my car all of a sudden felt like it was having trouble moving forward like something was binding or caught and then my car made a LOUD pop, kind of like a backfire sound. Well I found a parking spot and got out to run where I needed to go and when I locked the car with the key fob the headlights popped up and then went back down. I thought it was weird so I unlocked and locked the car again and it didn't do it.

Well when I came back and got in the car and fired it up the tachometer, speedometer, odometer, and head unit weren't working... All of the other gauges worked. Well I checked over the engine bay to see it any grounds were loose, none, and if any of the fuses blew, none. The car drove fine so I drove it home an hour back to Battle Creek and nothing came back during the whole trip...

I did some research and some had luck replacing all of the fuses even though none were bad. Another case was the PCM went bad. Others suggested getting the alternator and battery tested for dead cells...

The only thing that I have done recently was install HID's into my Fog Lights that was a plug and play kit from HIDKing.com.

    Any suggestions would be awesome!!!

if it happens again I would unplug the HID unit. Just to eliminate that as a cause.

Well after being sick all weekend and hacking up my entire insides I finally made it out to my car this morning. Upon closer inspection to the fuses and confirmation of a continuity tester we found the blown fuse. It was the power accessory 15A fuse in the interior fuse box. Popped in a new one, started up the car and everything worked again.

I will say the HID's are probably the culprit and was my fault for leaving the fog light button in the on position. Which in result makes them flash when the car is locked and unlocked. Well as most of you probably know HID's don't like to be flashed on and off real quick so I'm sure a big surge shot through the car that blew the fuse.

I had actually been good about turning the off when I turn of the car up to that point so I am not to worried about it, plus if it happens again I have a Heads Up Display App on my iPhone and some extra 15A fuses.
