Eh? If you don't have it tuned out it will still run exactly the same. I had my EGR blocked off on the v6 and didn't have it tuned out and I had absolutely no problems with idle or anything.

EGR is not open at Idle.. only at cruising speeds.

No - EGR being blocked off will not affect how your car drives at all.

But you will want to tune the EGR out so that your SES light goes out.

Just block it off and drive. Ignore the SES light - it will come on when you're coasting down after the engine has warmed up.

just remembered this is on my list of thing to do over break. I am on ebay to purchase a kit do I need the one with 3 plates or 2? somehow I recall it only being 2 one for valve and one for hose ,but most of the kits have 3.

if I need the three plate kit what is the third plate for????

Theres only 2 plates to delete egr, both on the back of the intake. I used Pipe plugs to remove my AIR pump. Hope this helps, Eric L
