  • EGR, clean, replace or block off?

just fed up with the EGR code my car is throwing. what is the best way to take care of this? I am leaning toward putting a block off plate and getting rid of it so i never run into the code again.

    any ideas?

Block it and then have it tuned so it won't throw the code.

maybe a stupid question but would this cause the car to run worse/ hotter?

absolutely not!! As long as you block it and have it tuned out..it'll be just fine.

If you block it and dont have it tuned out..your code will still be shown..and can cause the car to idle rough.

I just took off the air and egr during my rebuild. If you want to replace it I can hook you up.
                      It was working fine

I have block offs for the EGR and exhaust manifolds. Also have my old EGR that was working when I took it off. And the rough idle problem isnt something I encountered since I took mine off.
Here's a sig with my old ride: (Everyone else has a cool sig I had to do something!)
