  • First time to the track

Took my car to Ubly today, ran a best of 12.08 @ 115. I was pretty happy seeing as I'm only running 5 psi and have a small, small converter. Car didn't hook very good however. I want to get a line lock and some LCA relocation brackets and I want to see if I can get into the 11's with this set up.

Bias ply or radial? Either way the car should 60's way better than that. Do you have a TQ arm?

Radial. Yes to the torque arm. Car started wheel hopping once I began to heat the tires up more so I'm wondering if it needs adjustment

-2 degrees always seems like a good starting point.

Jonnys turbo car went 12.0 on 5PSI also. It was a bone stock motor tho.

What do you guys reccomened to get the 60's down? Will the LCA relocation brackets help me out? Should I just keep playing with my tire pressure and how much I heat them or do you have any pressure reccomendations?

I don't know the size of your tire, but you probably will want to run around 12-13psi. I've also heard the re-location brackets help out alot.
To heat your tires up you should see smoke starting to come out your wheel well when looking in your drivers side mirror. Alot of people will count up to 5 or 7 when doing a burnout. Every tire likes a little different heat level, you just have to find out what's best for your tire.
