  • Anyone familiar with Trifecta Performance?

I have been emailing back and fourth with vince at Trifecta and he seems to be a decent guy. They dop a computer tune for $150 through the mail and in talking with him he told me if I get 4 or more people interested he will cut me a break, $105 for LTx's and $150 for LSx engines. Would anyone be interested? I might have 1 -3 people local interested and I emailed him inquiring about the cost for follow up tuning so when I get that information I will make it available.

EDIT: I emailed him right before I made this post and he already responded! updates are $75.00, oh and the website is:

I've never heard of anything bad about Trifecta but personally I'd rather have someone tune my car in person than try to nail it through the mail... All that money to get a car running right and then skimping out on a proper tune just doesn't seem right to me.

Trifecta is who's doing the tuning on my car - and probably 90% of the tunes on CobaltSS.net.

They're VERY good. Vince is a great guy - very knowledgeable.

His tune may make you love your car to the point that you would want to marry it I suppose.

Well, unlike what some people think - this isn't a one-time tune.

I've been working with Vince tweaking my tune since I got the car running. He'll tweak it, I go out and datalog and send him the file, he goes back and tweaks it accordingly.

that is very nice to know, personally I would only let someone tune my car if they had it and could see everything that is going on, WOT is not my only priority for a nice streetable car I want it to be drivable in every aspect. On the other hand I think what you are doing Kyle is a good balance between a blind mailorder and an in person dyno or street tune.

Yeah. Pretty much all the SC swap cars on CSS have used Trifecta, and I can see why...

Yeah - I definitely admit that what Kyle is doing sounds like a decent way of doing it compared to just a blind mail order tune.

For sure, I just still dont like the idea of hoping your close enough on the tune, the first time you go WOT. Especially for those not running a WB. They have no idea. But it has to be 1000x better than someone just mailing you a tune and ta da your done.
