Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

WHY THE F*CK IS THERE A GOAT ON A FERRARI?

I think it is because I take it in and out all the time, the rubber has just stretched out, especially at the bottom where it is really thin. It annoys me more then anything.
Yup, I was going to say something earlier about Lt1s being known for terrible oil pressure, but I knew that I would just be discounted. My Lt1 has 80,000 on it, and I have about 22psi at idle, ~30 or so @1000 rpm, ~50 @ 2500 rpm, and I don't know after that. When I'm in those rpm ranges I typically am focused on the road, not my oil pressure, lol.

Thanks everyone for your help i decided im gonna just drive it and if any other problems or concerns arise ill keep you all updated.
But now i just gotta decide what to do with the $300 i saved up to do the engine pull and pump replacement. DeadOnWS6 keeps telling me to put a comp cam 220/230 in it, but i am almost due for new front brakes and I've been thinking about replacing the stock 2.73's in the rear. Decisions-Decisions
Or I could put it toward paying the loan off faster. lol

one useful change would be to change thermostate to 160* from 180 or 195 thats in there the cooler oil will maintain better oil pressure and extend the life of engine. not costly and after sitting 4 years wouldn't hurt to put new antifreeze in there.

a 160 thermostat will make your car run rich until the cold start enrichment tables in the tune are adjusted.
Well last night i was cruising around town and my oil pressure was around 20psi for every thousand rpms but my coolant temp gauge was way up around 240-250. Do you think its because i ran 5w-20 in my car? or is there another underlining cause?

that is way too hot, either your fans are not working properly, you have an air bubble in the coolant system, or your water pump is going. These car should rarely ever exceed 210
I've yet to really see where the oil pressure is any bit of an issue. Other issues, yes, but oil pressure... not so much. Like Jeff said, car shouldn't get that hot...
