My lt1 has always seemd to struggle just a little bit when cranking...like its too hard for the starter right.. so I built my 385..compression ratio was taken up to around 12.3-12.4:1 and now my starter is hurting... the engine never fails to fire after the fourth starter rotation...just the starter has a hell of a time getting it to that point.. it gets one good rotation..kinda dies a little...gets another solid rotation dies a little and so on until the end of the fourth rotation and it starts to die out again but the engine fires right then...
Just seems like she struggles too much... want a better starter like a torquer plus or a mini but nothing says itll fit the lt1 but itll fit the gen1 small block..will one of those work?
