Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
My 96 bird was recently overheating because the fans weren't coming on so I replaced the coolant temperature sensor. I also noticed that theres oil in the coolant now.
Why is there oil in the coolant
When it overheated you probably blew a head gasket. Coolant is now finding it's way into the combustion chamber. Does the car blow any white smoke when at idle after all warmed up?
cracked water jacket somewhere... same thing happened to me..would fire the car up..get down the street and shes overheating.. thought the pump went so i bought a new one and when i was draining the coolant i got a large amount of oil along with it.. called my engine guy to come by and he just shook his head..
i ran my car pretty hard one night and got her real hot and just shut her off right away so i know she got hotter..im guessing that lead to my prediciment..after that wouldnt stop over heating and then obviously the oil..

agree with everyones comments, pull the heads, if you don't see the obvious blown gasket then have the heads checked.
Is this and Auto? if so, you may just got a leak of trans cooler to rad. when over heated. even though trans fluid is red when mixed it will look like oil.
